We had our first interaction with Hayden Paddon back in 2016 when he asked us to film two rallies which were part of the #bringbackWRCrallyNZ Campaign in New Zealand. After the success and positive feedback from those videos Hayden asked us back to to create “something for the fans” as well as a media pool for the upcoming year of WRC. We developed the idea of “Paddon’s Playground” reasonably quickly- a two part project for the fans to thank them for their loyal support. Flashworks sourced locations, permission, safety staff and of course, the filming and editing of these high octane videos.
Paddon’s Playground was a great success and had great engagement, with each video averaging 120K views. Following the release of these videos and racking up over 400,000 followers on Facebook Hayden was awarded the 2017 WRC.com Social Media Star of the year.
